If you submitted an interest to sponsor form in 2020 and were invited to apply for the 2022 round, you can sponsor your parents and grandparents for permanent residency in Canada.
From October 12 to 20, 2022, we invited potential sponsors to apply. The application deadline has now passed.
We will not be accepting any more applications for the 2022 process.
If you are invited to apply, you must submit 2 applications for the parent and grandparent program:
grant application and
application for permanent residence
If both applications are approved, you will sign an agreement called an undertaking that begins on the date the person you sponsor (and their family members, if this applies) becomes permanent.
